Mike Bishop
Senior Associate
Mike Bishop is a Senior Associate with Black Coral Capital in Boston, where he focuses on a wide range of cleantech private equity investments, including venture capital, growth equity and project finance. He is currently a board observer of Clean Energy Collective and Next Step Living.
Before joining Black Coral, Mike was an Associate in the Investment Banking Division of Nomura Securities in Sydney, Australia, where he worked on domestic and cross-border M&A and financing opportunities across a broad set of sectors, including energy, natural resources, real estate and financial services. Mike initially moved to Sydney with Lehman Brothers, and in 2008 he joined Nomura following its partial acquisition of Lehman’s bankrupt operations.
Prior to arriving in Australia, Mike began his career in Lehman Brothers’ Real Estate Investment Banking Group in New York. Mike holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, where he served as Co-President of the MIT Energy Club, and a BBA from the University of Michigan.
