Chairman, First Solar, Inc.

Michael J. Ahearn is the Chairman and from 2000-2009 served as the CEO of First Solar, Inc. (NASDAQ:FSLR). First Solar is among the world leaders in the production and sale of photovoltaic (solar) modules. From 1996 to 2006, he was a Partner and President of the venture firm formerly known as True North Partners. Prior to joining True North, Mr. Ahearn practiced law as a partner in the firm of Gallagher & Kennedy. He received both a B.A. in Finance and a J.D. from Arizona State University.

In addition to serving on the board of First Solar, Mr. Ahearn also currently serves on the boards of the German Marshall Fund of the United States, a nonpartisan American public policy and grant making institution dedicated to promoting greater cooperation and understanding between North America and Europe.
